Delete your account and recipes
iPhone app: Account → Delete account, confirmed with your password. It clears the account, its saved recipes, cookbooks, sessions and tokens on our server at that moment, and signs every device out. Your phone copy goes with the app (offload, clear data or uninstall).
Android app: there is nothing to delete on our side. The build holds no account and keeps its library in your phone's storage — Settings → Clear recipe library empties it in place, and uninstalling removes the rest.
Anything we hold that the apps cannot delete for you — an old waitlist entry, a request you filed, an account you can no longer sign into: use the form on this page and choose "Delete my data". We carry it out as soon as we read it.
Delete your waitlist entry
Use the form on this page and choose "Delete my data". We match the email you give us against the waitlist and remove the row, then mark your request handled so you can check it with your reference code. Outbound email is not switched on for this site yet, so there is no message to unsubscribe from — the row itself is what we delete.
What is kept, and why
A video sent for analysis is never stored — it is read in memory and discarded. Media you publish as a post on this site goes with the post or the account. What survives a deletion: the keyed hash of an IP and a user agent already sitting on a waitlist or request row (it goes when that row goes), rate-limit counters the server clears within two days, and daily aggregate AI-usage counts that contain no personal data. Backups are encrypted dumps we keep for disaster recovery; we do not restore one to bring deleted data back, and if we ever had to, we would re-apply your deletion.
Data export (portability)
On an account: use the form on this page and choose "Send me a copy of my data". There is no export button in the iPhone app yet, so we build the file on the server — account details, saved recipes and collections, shared cookbooks, your posts and comments, sessions, the consents you gave, and any waitlist entry or request under the same email. Save it, share it, or hand it to another app.
On Android: your library never left your phone. Settings → Copy library as JSON puts your recipes and grocery list on the clipboard as one readable file, with no server involved.
Either way we answer within one month, usually the same day. Your meal plan and shopping list live on the device, not on our server.
No need to explain yourself
You never have to justify a deletion request. If we cannot verify it is you, we may ask for the minimum information needed to confirm — nothing more.
